Arriving in Mali

A representative from our Embassy met us at the airport in Ouaguadougou to expedite our boarding of Air Burkina.  When we landed an hour later in the capital city of Mali our entry was again made smooth.  This time it was Africare and a good friend of Julius' who met us, provided two USAID vehicles with plenty of room to transport the luggage, film equipment, and seven passengers. Here, in Mali our first stop was not the hotel but instead the home of the Africare Director and his family for a traditional Malian dinner. It was a relaxing evening filled with delicious food and good conversation.  And for Julius it was a reconnecting with an old friend and  his family...a beautiful moment.
The photos are of the Africare Director for Mail and Burkina Faso and his wife.
